REQUIRED:
Submit your application (click here), current transcript from 9th-12th grade, Essay,  Community Service, Work Hours and Extracurricular Activities documents to: [email protected] or mail to: Yorba Linda Woman’s Club – Attn: Scholarship/ P.O. Box 91/ Yorba Linda/ CA/ 92885 by MARCH 29, 2024.
OBJECTIVE:
To provide scholarship funds for continuing education in a chosen trade field.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY:
  • Student transcript must show proof of residence in one of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District zip codes (92806, 92807, 92331, 92835, 92870, 92871, 92886 or 92887).
  • Student must be an enrolled Senior attending an accredited high school for the entire 2023-2024 school year.
  • Student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Student will begin a trade school, junior college or college in the Fall Semester of 2024.
  • Student Application must be reviewed and signed by the School Counselor to certify grades and enrollment.
AWARDS:
  • $500 - $1,500 Scholarship (Number of winners to be determined by the YLWC).
JUDGING:
  • 30% Essay content (addresses “ Write about a time when you were asked to lead or take charge in a situation."; well-written, compelling and engaging)
  • 30% Essay organization (includes grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure)
  • 20% GPA
  • 20% Community Service and/or Work Experience
SCHEDULE:
  • March 29, 2024 – Final date for receipt of Applications and ALL forms (no exceptions)
