OBJECTIVE:
To provide scholarship funds for continuing education in a chosen academic field.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY:
  • Student transcript must show proof of residence in one of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District zip codes (92806, 92807, 92331, 92835, 92870, 92871, 92886 or 92887).
  • Student must be an enrolled Senior attending an accredited high school for the entire 2025-2026 school year.
  • Student will begin college in the Fall Semester of 2026.
  • Student Application must be reviewed and signed by the School Counselor to certify grades and enrollment.
AWARDS:
  • $1,000 - $2,000 Scholarship (Number of winners to be determined by the YLWC).
JUDGING:
  • 25% Essay content (addresses “As you prepare to graduate from High School, what experiences have most shaped who you are today, and how will those experiences influence the path you are about to take? ”; well-written, compelling and engaging)
  • 25% Essay organization (includes grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure)
  • 25% GPA
  • 25% Community Service and/or Work Experience
SCHEDULE:
  • March 15, 2026 – Final date for receipt of Application and ALL forms (no exceptions)
