Our club collects gifts for the Navajo children that are sent to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. These bags are often the only gift these children will receive for the holiday.
Some of the items that go to them are games, small toys, school supplies, toiletries, warm items such as gloves or mittens, and candy, gum or other sweets.
The SOCKtober PANTYmania donates much needed socks and underwear for the women and children (both male & female) at the local Women's Transitional Living Center (WTLC). All sizes and styles are needed XS - XXL.
For the past several years, YLWC have participated by adopting Angels and helping wrap gifts for the residents of licensed care facility in Orange County. There are approximately 28,000 residents and more than half do not have family or friends to provide them with a gift at Christmas. Last year, Smile Makers delivered more than 5000 gifts.
This project allows our members to donate new and/or gently used books to help
support the Topaz School Library, which is in need of books including pre-K picture books through 6th grade reading and reference books. All donated books will be delivered to the Topaz Librarian throughout the year.
